Tea Up! lost their first ever OD league match today, prompting manager TNS to start an enquiry into how this could have happened in a league full of sub-standard teams.
“There’s only one person the blame rests on,” he told an angry gaggle of tea drinkers, “and that’s me.
“You see, for weeks now, I’ve been fielding weaker and weaker sides. I want all of our batsmen to score 100 OD runs, and our bowlers to take 5 OD wickets. And, whilst that had been going OK, perhaps I’ve drawn the line of who can bat to what extent to low.
“I mean, did you see Bonny Tori trying to bat today? He was abysmal! At one point, he was tying to play with a stick of rhubarb! Who taught him that?”
TNS said that he will continue to rotate the team, in that he’ll be bringing back the first eleven again next week.
