BT20 is back! We've reached the halfway point of the season and all teams controlled by human players when the draw was made have been placed into groups for this tournament. As before the top two teams will automatically progress to the knockout stages, as will a certain number of third placed teams, (in order to create nice round numbers for the knockout rounds). Those knockout rounds will be played at the end of the season.

Just to remind everyone that this is a tournament where PFL hits are lower than the OD and FC leagues but there is still a final to be won and we don't expect your opponents to be taking it too easy! Expect some shocks and at the end of the season we will discover who is to be crowned BT20 champion for your country!

So head for your fixtures page and get selecting for the group matches. Good luck to all!

Yet another new item rolls out the door - this time it's for a very limited group of people, but it does have promising implications for the future of everyone's BTmail... See the blog post on how the new mail feature for National NT / U19 Managers may lead to new features for a lot more users.

When there is a perfectly good bandwagon to jump on, you can be sure that sooner or later Battrick will be there. We have today launched our Developer Blog in the Community menu where the developers can hopefully give you a little more insight into what we are up to. The Status box on the left of the news page will also contain links to the top three (only two posts published so far!) posts so you can easily see when we've added a new item.

Today marks the release of three little features. Firstly, we have created a Calendar for you all so that you will be a little more informed about the happenings of the current BT season. The Calendar is available under the Community menu.

Secondly, you may notice a "Task" box on the News page. While most seasoned users will not find much of a use for it, we are hoping it will serve as a prompt for new users as they come to grips with the Battrick week. The task box will remind users about setting orders, developing youth players, setting nets (if they haven't set any) and so on. Please note that this box won't be available during England games as the server is already under immense strain and this particular function is a little more resource intensive.

Finally, to complement the task box we have updated the Preferences page to give users who have membership a little more customisation of their Battrick site. We understand that many users may not see a need for the news page 'boxes' (such as the National box, Task box) and might feel that it clutters the page, so they will have the option to turn them off as they see fit. You can now also choose to not show up on the Online list. The Enhanced View setting allows the sledging link icons and colour-coded match results on the fixtures page to be disabled. Non-members will be pleased to know that they will see this enhanced view by default.

Update:The Task box on the news page has been disabled temporarily due to load times. We will turn it back on when server issues are resolved.
