To take advantage of some new features and enhancements at Battrick, you will need to clear out any old files from the site, and replace them with the new versions. This is called clearing the cache. Unfortunately, each different browser has a slightly different way of doing it. Depending on your exact browser and settings, you may need to log back into Battrick again.

• Clearing the cache on Microsoft® Internet Explorer 8
  1. Open Internet Explorer 8
  2. Click on Safety > Delete Browsing History
  3. Ensure Temporary Internet Files is checked
  4. Click Delete
  5. Click Close
• Clearing the cache on Microsoft® Internet Explorer 7
  1. Open Internet Explorer 7
  2. Click on Tools > Delete Browsing History
  3. Click in Delete Files
  4. Click Yes on the Delete Files dialog box
  5. Click Close
• Clearing the cache on Microsoft® Internet Explorer 5 / 5.5 / 6
  1. Click Start > Settings > Control Panel
  2. Double-click Internet Options to open Internet Properties
  3. Click Delete Files
  4. Click OK on the Delete Files dialog box
  5. Click OK
• Clearing the cache on Mozilla Firefox 2 / 3
  1. From the menu click Tools > Options (Firefox > Preferences on the Mac version)
  2. Click the Privacy Icon
  3. Click Settings
  4. Ensure that "Cache" box is ticked, as a minimum
  5. Click OK, then Clear Now, then OK
• Clearing the cache on Mozilla Firefox 1
  1. From the menu click Tools > Options (Firefox > Preferences on the Mac version)
  2. Click the Privacy Icon
  3. Click Clear across from the Cache option
  4. Click OK
  5. Exit, then restart your browser
• Clearing the cache on Safari
  1. Open Safari
  2. Select Empty Cache from the Edit menu
  3. Click Empty on the "Are you sure message box"
  4. Exit, then restart Safari
• Clearing the cache on Opera 8 / 9
  1. Open Opera
  2. Select Tools > Delete Private Data
  3. Click Details (Advanced in Opera 8), and ensure "Delete entire cache" is checked
  4. Click on Delete
• Clearing the cache on Google Chrome:
  1. Open Google Chrome (yay! good start, here's a silver star)
  2. Use the mouse to find and click on the little spanner in top right hand corner (spanner: not you, I mean the spanner icon you numbnut) and left click on this icon. I'll give you a bronze star for this one.
  3. On the drop down menu select "Clear browsing data..."
  4. Make sure there is a tick in the box relating to "Empty the cache"
  5. Hey Presto, it's all over. A Gold star. How about that! Go and put the kettle on and prepare yourself a very well earned cup of tea.
• Clearing the cache on Netscape® Communicator / Navigator 8.0
  1. From the menu click Tools > Options
  2. Select Privacy under Options on the left side of the screen
  3. Click Cache
  4. Click Clear Cache
  5. Click Clear
  6. Click OK
• Clearing the cache on Netscape® Communicator / Navigator 7.1
  1. From the menu click Edit > Preferences
  2. Click the Triangle next to Advanced to expand it
  3. Click Cache
  4. Click Clear Cache
  5. Click OK
• Clearing the cache on America Online® 8.0 & 9.0
  1. Click Start > Settings > Control Panel
  2. Double-click Internet Options to open Internet Properties
  3. Click Delete Files
  4. Click OK on the Delete Files dialog box
  5. Click OK
